Main server hosted on Linux and Backup server on Windows

Hey all,
If i will make my secondary server on windows and make ftp on it will work ?
My main server on cloud connected by P2P to the same network.
wont be any problems ?

Please clarify, is the question about a failover server or backup location?

In that case, the OS of the two servers must be the same. See the failover guide here.
