Solved Map User Script is appending the extension to the phone number

Anyone else having this issue where the exported map_users script is appending the extension to the end of the phone number?

Set-CsUser -Identity [email protected] -OnPremLineURI "tel:+11234567899333;ext=333" -EnterpriseVoiceEnabled $true -HostedVoiceMail $true

The extension number is getting added to the end of the phone number followed by the semi-colon in the above command adding the 333. I checked AD and Azure AD they are being display properly, but the exported map_user script is adding it.

Yes, that happened for me, too, but it seems to be accurate. The first part is the full E.164 phone number by which someone can reach me through Teams/3CX. The last part is the 3-digit extension by which internal members may reach me via Teams/3CX (or by which I may be reached in a call by extension IVR).

Is it causing any problems in your usage?

We didn't. This is not supposed to happen.

however, that number is taken from Office Phone field + the ";ext=" string. The ext shouldn't be part of the number unless it's a range of DIDs made for this.

The mapping for us is generated by a two part mapping:

tel:{OfficePhoneNumber};ext={3CXExtensionNumber}
tel:+11234567899333;ext=333

Review how the office number is written in the MS 365 admin portal

Solved by removed the ;ext=333 from our AD objects and giving it a few hours for it reflect the changes in Team and then the export map_user script.
