I have a question about the migration to Amazon Lightsail. From my user portal I click on Self Host and it begins the PBX Express wizard. I am using an Enterprise license. As I work through the wizard I get to the point where it is asking me for my hostname. At this point it will not let me select my own domain name. It is only offering me the default list of domains that are available for 3CX hosting. When I did my on-prem install initially it asked me for my custom domain name and my certificate. Am I doing something incorrect? My goal is to migrate my on-prem install to a self host using Amazon Lightsail.

Thanks in advance,

Ken

@tohoken do you use a custom FQDN on your on premise installation ?
3CX Wizard allows only 3CX FQDNs not custom.

NikosT, yes we run a custom FQDN. So how would I go about migrating this to the cloud and keep my custom FQDN?

@tohoken if you were to go to AWS I would recommend to set it up via Marketplace (https://www.3cx.com/docs/pbx-amazon-aws-marketplace/ ) and then restore your backup on top after installation.
Now since you will need to go to Lightsail, unfortunately via 3CX Wizard its not possible with custom FQDN.
The only way is to setup your machine, ssh to it, install the PBX manually and then after that either upload your backup to the machine and Restore it, or pull it via Backup and Restore section on the PBX from FTP, sFTP or Google Bucket.

NikosT, Thank you for the information. I appreciate your help.
