More than mobile-number for IP-phones-contacts like snom, yealink...

Hello,

please support more than name and mobile/cellphonenumber for the conacts-/address-/phonebook of hardware-based SIP/IP-phones like snom, yealink and so on.

Atm we have to use duplicated contacts with different configured numbers (f.e. busines, private, ...) within the mobile-number-field to achieve that all needed numbers are shown within the IP-phones contacts.

Example:

Name: User1-Smartphone | Mobile-Number-Field: 1234 (which is really the cellphone-number is)
Name: User1-Private | Mobile-Number-Field: 5678 (which is the private-phonenumber)
and so...

Maybe something is going on here, because the status is in progress.

Because nothing was done here so long, I've developed a small Windows-tool where you can import the 3CX-exported phone book and upload to an FTP server after an optimized XML processing.
With a user-specific provisioning template you can change the URL to the uploaded XML file and multiple numbers will be displayed. Firstname, last name and companyname could be also merged if needed.

But I really hope that 3CX will soon integrate this into the phone system with the same smart logic.

Hi,

but in the other thread it seems to be only for snom phones, it should be also for the other phones too.
I was surprised that only mobile number Names will shown in the Phone Display.
So this should be changed.

Hello 3CX developers,
we would also like to see this "basic" feature.
Surprisingly, in a time were even simplest cell phones can do this, we discovered that our new 3CX telephone system with new SNOM D385 phones is not capable to do it.

Please integrate this feature in near future. Thanks.
