Hi, yesterday we moved from traditional PBX to 3CX instace in cloud; here my setup:
- 3CX version is 16.0.611 installed on Debian GNU/Linux 9.11
- fourty T42S phones with FW 66.84.0.95, three W60B FW 77.83.0.25 and one SNOM M300.
- the phones are installed locally on dedicated VLAN that can communicate with the server through VPN Tunnel configured on Watchguard firewall
- Connection Speed is Fiber 100/100
- all setting are fine, SIP ALG Disabled, Firewall checker its ok, Medium Bandwith consumption around 20/25 Mb, no packet loss experienced
- SIP Provider is european
- Phones are provisioned locally
We are experiencing these problems
- Internal calls result Muffled with some kind of distance
- External calls often results not completly clear (expecially cell calls), we experiencing some milliseconds pause between words or some buzz noise; this problems are expecially encounterd with T42S phones, instead with SNOM M300 sound is horrible and lack of quality
I've check that 3CX Coded various priority are
- Extensions : PCMU, PCMA, 722, 729 (PBX Delivers audio is disabled)
- SIP Trunk : 711u - 711a, 729, GSM FR (PBX Delivers audio enabled)
- 3CX General Settings codec: Local Internal calls (PCMU,PCMA, G722, GSM, G729, OPUS)
External Calls (GSM,G729,G722,PCMU,PCMA,OPUS)
We try the following combinations on extesion coded priority :
move 729 codec on top of the list on extensions settings without results
move 722 on top of the list on exstions settings the sound is horrible
(we have not completly clear how codec works between Extesions, Trunk and General Settings)
So we are a little disappointed because users did not expect such a low quality with the change of phones and I wanted to know if any of you had experienced similar problems and if the posted codec configuration is correct in this scenario.
Thanks
