Hi there!
Regarding the 3CX Plugin called "Multi-Line TAPI", according to the manual (https://www.3cx.com/docs/installing-multi-line-tapi) and as you can see also on the below screenshot, someone has to select how the feature wants to be installed. So there are these options:
According to my understanding, the tests I did and the experience I have with this, the option "Microsoft Outlook", among other functions, it gives you the ability to call a contact directly from Microsoft Outlooks contacts, when the option "Multiline TAPI Driver" gives you that functionality in general, so it can be used with a CMS, a web browser or anything else.
I have realized, that if someone select the second option (Multiline TAPI Driver), then the nice functionality in Outlook is not available anymore.
1. So, the first question is if there is a possibility for someone to have both features on his computer. The nice functions specifically for Microsoft Outlook AND the Generic TAPI use.
Secondly, I realized that there is no option to edit the number before you use it. For example, if I select a contact in Microsoft Outlook in order to call a number, but my 3CX configuration demands a prefix in order to get a line, there is no option to put that prefix before dialing the number. And editing the contacts is of course not an option, as these contacts are also used by a smartphone synchronized device.
2. The second question is if there is such an option, so the user will be able to add a prefix before TAPI dials the selected number. Even a static setting in order to add the same prefix on any case would be convenient, but the best would be to have the option, because there are more than one lines to select (for a reason). And that's also why we have a "prefix" and not just directly dialing the number.
Any input and answer would be really appreciated.
