We have a client who has a UK SIP trunk and an international SIP trunk for Ireland both through the same provider.

When I add one SIP trunk it works perfectly fine but when I add the second SIP trunk in the calls route to the default route for the first SIP trunk.

Does anyone have any suggestions to sort this?

Hai, you may need to use SBC (not 3CXSBC) to register indinvidual SIP trunk to same provider but each sip trunk treated seperate in SBC, so through SBC its posible.
Or you can ask provider to provide both sip trunk number through same sip trunk registration rather than seperate sip trunk registration.

Thank You

There was a post in the last week or two that was similar and the answer was that the number in the SIP provider's account needed to be assigned to the second trunk.

Verbose logs should show you where/why calls are routed.

That means both trunks have the same source identification so when a call comes in it always matches the first trunk and routes there. The easiest solution would be to use a supported provider so we know how it works and be able to support you.
The next method would be to create custom templates without source identification enabled so the PBX only tries to match inbound calls based on the number. The would mean that your numbers will need to be unique per trunk and added in the correct number format.

Hi Yiannis, is there any guidance in creating custom templates as I am now also stuck with this scenario for multi-tenant companies with numbers at the same provdrr

Does the provider allow the option of registering the second trunk to a different server? Some do offer this, and would make the trunks unique.

If you are looking to adjust call source identification then read this guide first. I would recommend adding a trunk using a Generic template and export it so you can use that as a base.

Hi Yiannis

Great tip for configuring a template - thanks!

I have actually resolved this as it was due to the number pattern not matching with the sender's configuration, or in other words a school boy error.

Thanks again
Pete
