Hi

Where can I get a better understanding of how the Webmeeting stats page is outlining the bandwidth I have to upload video. At the moment I constantly get 'severely degraded ability in sending video to others' which makes no sense I constantly have a very good connection at home (over 200+ download and 30+ upload). Tested with other services like Zoom and Microsoft teams and video/audio no issues.

At the moment I'm testing against London 0108 servers but while my downlink capacity does not seem to be affected the uplink capacity is limited. It mentions limited to 0.93Mbps but not sure how the system is deriving this number. Have used multiple machines at home using Microsoft Edge and Chrome. Have tried to review on Ipad with 3CX WebMeeting but that does not seem to have the same network settings & statistics that I can at least fine.

Also noticed some very high websocket RTT that can jump up to 1000ms+ at times. Not sure what the norm is around this number.

3CX server is in Azure and I'm only person using.

I've removed my home firewall from the path (Sophos XG) and I'm just plugged into a Asus Rt-AC5300 onto BT infinity ultrafast.

Maybe just how I'm looking at this but looking to check any additional diagnostics I can review beyond what is available online which I've run through

Thanks
julian

If you go on the Gear icon in the top right --> Network --> Advanced.
Video Uplink is responsible to show the warning if the blue line is below the red one for some time.
Factors on your uplink is also related Connection RRT and Uplink Loss.

Note that the location of your PBX does not matter as webmeeting is between the users (peers) and MCUs within the 3CX Cloud.

Thanks Stefan. Yes this advanced screen is what I've been reviewing to better understand what I'm seeing. I continue to get the message warnings about severely degraded ability but don't have issues in MS Teams or Zoom at all. I've noticed reading some of the forum notes others have had similar performance issues around the WebRTC side also. I'm not using old hardware however (well it's a couple years old being a Surface Book 2).
Just don't understand how the video uplink figures are worked out exactly

Ther server (MCU) reports in your case that it is expecting 1mbps but only gets 0.02.
Also normal would be 30 packages at last and not 7. I think they something is blocking actually your data output. This can be AV software, a random browser plugin playing up or something in the firewall.

You may try to disable any AV, use the browser in private browsing mode and apply no filtering QOS on your firewall: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/status-monitor-info.72678/

Thanks. Will review this a little more. I've found if I only keep own the Web-meeting then I jump to 100+ pkt/s and bandwidth jumps up. I've no extensions loaded in Edge and I disabled everything in Chrome. It does seem to be machine related as I've tested on a couple of other machines with the same AV (Sophos AV on Win 10 clients) and set-up and I don't get the major drop in bandwidth upload (but I'm also not opening other apps). When running a web-meeting the machine just becomes sluggish. Will look to try and find a clean build to see if I can replicate. However the problems in this as I mentioned before only seem related to Webmeeting connections. Cannot replicate the same issues with Zoom, Webex (just tested) and Teams. So will certainly review this a lot more before I can truly recommend Web-meeting as preferred conferencing tool as just a little more inconsistencies than I would like even if this is just a limited test so far. Do appreciate all your feedback however.

it sounds like some sort of "protection" in Sophos AV to limit traffic. May this AV detects the apps of Zoom und co and does nothing then on filtering the connection. However, I can only speculate on this.
