New Chrome extension should not catch Enter key on incoming call

At first: Thanks for the new Chrome extension. In Theory it does really do a great job in replacing the native client.

But there is one annoying problem which makes my users switch back to the native client: When there is an incoming call, the extension's phone window pops up (which is good), but unfortunately if you hit enter it answers the incoming call.

This is a huge problem: If you are currently writing a text and hitting enter in the context of your writing, you accidentally answer the call.

Thank you for your feedback.

Enter and Esq keys was also in place for 3CX Windows App as soon as the incoming call screen was in focus.

You can disable the Chrome Extension from stealing focus on incoming call form Chrome Extension options.

Ah okay, wasn't aware of this option. Unfortunately if I disable the option, no window or notification is popping up at all and I have now option to answer the call. Or am I missing something?

It will not steal the focus from other windows. As a result you will get a blink on the taskbar for the Chrome Extension.You can open the Window and take the respective action.

Adding on this, with the upcoming Update 5, you will have the option to answer, drop, etc the call with the use of Hotkeys specified on Chrome Extension.

Okay, tested it. On Windows the behavior is perfect when I disable "steal focus". Not only is the taskbar icon blinking, but the 3CX window even pops up, if it wasn't open before without stealing the focus. Great.

But: In Chrome on Mac OS exactly nothing happens. No bumping dock icon and also the 3CX window isn't brought up. So on Mac OS this option isn't usable at all at the moment. If you could fix this behaviour it would be great.

I could not agree more. We use the Chrome extension, and the "enter to answer" is proving to be unacceptable to users. Disabling "steal focus" does not help, as then there is no notification.

It seems that you should still allow the pop-up but be able to disable "enter to answer" functionality. Really is a problem, particulary for agents operating queues in our office. Please consider a fix for this.
