I went through all the steps in the guides, and everything looked like it was going according to plan. Followed port settings and NAT policies on my firewall per instructions. Installed the OS on a Debian Linux VM. Went thorugh all the steps and it looked successful, but when i try to open my admin console from my account, the request times out. Any advice?

  • 3CX Version, e.g. 3CXPro 4SC
  • Server OS, e.g. Debian 11
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? e.g. On-premises
  • Provisioning Method: Local
  • Trunk Provider or VoIP Gateway Make/Model,
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: Can't access
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: ?

Which url do you use to open the admin console?

hi, I used http://<my FQDN>

I also try to navigate to it with the links in my customer portal/the email they send.

thanks

Did you configured portforwardings and split dns?

Have you tried to access the PBX using it's local IP?

I did, but I'm worried that this is what I did wrong and hence my problem. I thought that I should still be able to get on to the admin portal since I need to be on there to run the firewall checker in the first place. thanks!

interesting.. Tried it now and I can get to the login page, but since I was never able to set up a password (you set up the password through the fqdn address) I get stuck in the login page. I also can't reset the password since it tries to find the admin console via the fqdn again.

Hello,

So to use our own domain, I added both origin certificate and private key files as requested by 3CX during the installation.
Installation was successful and I can reach the 3cx web client but it always shows or redirects to http instead of https.
It's been 2 days since I set this 3cx up. I haven't configured anything on the backend or frontend in regards to the license.
Is there something I failed to do?
Sorry, I've tried looking for documentation on it but i haven't been able to find much.

I get a reply with the IP when I ping my FQDN but can't reach the console or client via the IP.
can't reach the webclient either via http://myfqdn:5001 and myFQDN:443 redirects to http://myfqdn
Thank you. Will try the suggested and provide feedback.
