Hi
Am trying out the system prior to purchase and have it operational for incoming and outgoing calls + internal calls etc. however voicemail doesn't seem to want to function.
We are running the system on Windows Server 2008 R2, we have a public ip address through which we route all the call traffic. Accessing voicemail either from an internal phone or by allowing an external call to route through simply presents the message "This call cannot be completed, please try again later" followed by the call being dropped - from internal phones (after dialing 666) same deal - no voicemail menu is available.

Anyone any idea what we've missed please ?

Clearly need to have this functioning prior to purchase.

Many thanks, Paul

Voicemail is extension 999.... Unless you manually changed the VM to 666 your dialing the wrong extension. when dialing in from an external number you will need to create digital receptionist (auto attendant) when the auto attendant answers dial vm extension (by default 999)--->enter user extension---->entere PIN. I hope this helps

Thanks for that info. I checked and the version we've installed defaults to 666 for voicemail (which is probably just as well because 999 is the equivalent of 911 in the US so may not be the ideal voicemail recall number :-) ).
However, to be certain - under settings > general the 'voice mail menu' has the extension number that users must dial set at 666. Pity, I liked the sound of something that simple! Ah well, thanks again, appreciated

Paul

Make a test call to the vm extension and post the Server activity log minus any public IP's, phone numbers etc..... That will definitely give a better understanding of where those calls are going.
