Hi, i've a problem with a new yealink t42s. My 3cx phone system is the last with last service pack professional. when i power up the phone it seems to work.. boot normally, and after about 5 seconds it restart by itself in a infinite loop.
If i disconnect the ethernet cable it work, if i connect the ethernet cable directly in a pc it work, if i reconnect the ethernet cable in the switch the loop appear again.. i tried to update the latest firmware but the problem persist.
any ideas? thanks!

Please take it off of the network with 3CX and internet access and see if still exhibits the same behaviour stand alone where you can take the internet and network out of the equation.

If so I maybe a faulty phone and be in a boot loop - are you getting a message on the screen? Can you access the web GUI ?

if i connect it directly on a pc and set a static ip address i can access the gui... i can't understand why when i connect it on the network after obtained the ip address from dhcp boom reboot..

What is the message you get on the standard network - is it trying to reprovision ? have you checked if the mac address has been entered in the Yealink RPS server.

It could be... how to check? This phone is new...

Well it will say "trying to obtain provisioning request on bootup" (which it does as standard) and you should see it trying to obtain configuration from a server.

Please explain the exactly what it says on the screen throughout the process, especially if it says anything at point of reboot.

obtaining ip address.. after that sending request, then update skipped, then after 2 seconds it reboot.. if i set static ip without gateway same thing...

EDIT: this is the syslog message:
<134>Sep 10 00:04:29 sys [1150]: SRV <6+info > recv lldpd conf, stop reconfig

Excellent, the next step would of probably been to generate logging and PCAP from the Yealink, this would of clarified this for you.

Glad to see the issue has been resolved and thank you for updating the thread with your solution.
