wasn't sure if i was missing something, but we are setting up a new system this morning before deploying hardware on customer site.

i wanted to try using the new config script from 3cx's web page, and that is kinda neat, except it didn't let me enter in our paid license key. (looks like we ended up with a 60 day demo).

next, i have about 27 phones to import. what i'm used to doing is building a CSV file to run a batch import. give them the extension numbers they want, assign phone MAC's etc. then when the phones power up, they ping that new provisioning server and automatically set themselves up. it cuts install time down from hours, to under an hour.

on the web client admin, it looks like you can batch import but you're missing a ton of information. you can only specify first name, last name, email. you don't get to pick the extension numbers, or automatically add phones on the import.

is this feature coming to the web client admin? i sure hope so. I had to revert back to the original admin console to do what I wanted, so we got them all setup. I was just curious.

thanks,

This is possible just from the PBX Management Console, check here

From the webclient admin you can import extensions too, but the csv file uses only the columns for FirstName, LastName, EmailAddress, MobileNumber.

when the original management console goes away (i think that's the next major release) will we have the ability to pick our extension numbers in the web clint admin portal and batch import phones?
