Version 20.0 Update 6 (Build 486 Alpha) with Enterprise License running on prem on a Windows2019 Server

Hi all,

It has become apparent this week that since April 13th, no one is able to see call history (Incoming, outgoing, missed or abandoned).
From the same date there are no call recordings visible either.

Having checked our server, the calls are being recorded and I can see the files and copy, move etc.

This is a problem for our users who reply on call history, and for managers who need to easily find and review recordings.

Nothing notable or out of the ordinary happened on April 13th. I have checked event logs in 3cx and the server itself, nothing to suggest anything happened.

Anyone else experienced this?

OK, so 45 minutes after posting this issue, Call history and recordings have suddenly returned.
Users are now being bombarded with 2 weeks worth of missed call notifications.
My phone is ringing off the hook.

Can anyone explain that???

Those symptoms amongst others like backups not running are similar to when the "System Server" service stops. We've had that happening randomly on servers on v20 since upgraded from 18. It's infrequent and I haven't found a cause. Also similar to you once it's restarted some things catch up like emails going out etc. Maybe not related. Just sharing experience.

Hi GBC_James,

You're currently running Version 20.0 Update 6 (Build 486 Alpha), which is still in the testing phase and not recommended for production environments.

For production use, it's strongly recommended to run the latest stable release, currently Update 5. Rolling back to this version may resolve the issue with missing call history and recordings. However, please note that you will need a backup from when the PBX was still on Update 5, as backups made on Update 6 are not compatible with older versions.

Thanks for the info @Abdulla Rabeea 2 That update should never have been applied. the staff member who applied it recently left and he applied it the day he went. I guess he though that would be funny and keep me busy.....
I do have a backup I can roll back to so I will try that over the weekend.
Cheers.

Hey GBC_James,
To do that, you'll need to uninstall the current PBX and reinstall the latest supported version (currently Update 5). During the configuration phase, make sure to restore a backup that was made while the system was still on Update 5.
