Good morning,

I have an on-premise 3cx server. I also use the iOS app on my mobile phone and the web-phone thing on my laptop.

When I am in the office (same local lan asa the server) I can us ethe iOS phone and web client no problem.

When I go home the iOS app and the web-phone both get stuck "connecting" like the firewall is dropping packets or somerthing and never connect.

But when I switch off wifi and my mobile goes to 4g, the iOS app connects and works just fine.

Is there something I should be doing on my local lan to make it work? Do i need to forward ports? Surely only the INBOUND network needs ports open, not my OUTBOUND home network? Very confused!

TIA for any clues where to look...

Hi there. It sounds as though your home WiFi router/modem may be blocking connections. You can check and see if there are any logs on the border device to check from.

Additionally, does your home network use IPV4 or IPV6? If only IPV6 is used then you will also need to check on your firewall that’s on the 3CX system side that it’s accepting these packets and that your 3CX system machine is enabled for IPV6.
