I have same issue and i tested with 3 type IP phones. Polycom 501, Cisco 303 and Grandstrem GXP 1405 .. still the same error.

I configured two ip phone in different location and able to connect to my 3cx sever and register with ext number. even i am able to dial the number and and external ext are ringing but no audio from both the side.

Please help me.

This is usually indicative of a firewall issue. You need to ensure that you have run the firewall checker at the site were the 3CX system is located. It needs to pass.

At the remote site, use the GS phone and make sure the firmware is up to date. in the phone itself, go to the network settings and set the NAT to be either keep alive or auto. This will cause the phone to either send a blank UDP packet every 20 seconds or so thereby keeping the port open. Of course, this is also somewhat dependent on the make of router you have and that you have the SIP ALG turned off in most cases.

Some routers are not as good as others, what type is at both ends?

The GS and Cisco are probably the easier to remote. It is even better if you have a fixed Public IP where 3CX resides.

thanks for the reply.
we tried to run the firewall checker but unfortunately it failed.
let me brief about our setup and testing process ..
we have 3cx server with two IP local and Voip provider IP.
local LAN IP nated with another public IP in our Firewall (all the ports are allowed) soft phone and mobile apps are configured with nated public IP and through STUN option. (working fine)

For Testing :
Two IP phones GS GXP 1405 and Cisco 303 configured with 2 public IPs and able to connect 3cx server and registered with extension and both the phones are able to make and receive calls from other extension or cell number. but there is no audio both end (incoming and outgoing call).
We don't have any Router in place between 3CX server to publicly configured IP phone.
For 3CX server we have fixed public IP nated with local IP

we are not able to understand what to do more to fix the issue. need your assistance plz.

If you want we can discuss this issue over the phone.

I am uncertain what is meant by:

If this means that 3CX is on a system that has two NIC cards installed for the local LAN, then 3CX can only be bound to one.

You then indicate -
"local LAN IP nated with another public IP in our Firewall" which seems to indicate that there is more than one PUBLIC IP by the use of "another"

When you indicate all ports are open, does this mean that the system is in a DMZ? The ports should be forwarded to the 3CX local IP.

Connecting to get a registration is entirely different than getting RTP streams through.

Notwithstanding my confusion, getting the firewall checker to pass is a step in the right direction. There is a router in the mix, and it faces the public side and presumably with a fixed IP. It should take received data streams and NAT/route the ports of interest (5060, 5000, 9000-9049) to the local 3CX IP. The 3CX system should be set, with a FIXED public IP to have STUN disabled (in most cases) and then using the PUBLIC IP.

There are some routers that have SIP ALG and in most cases this should be turned off. There are other routers that use port translation for enhanced security and they will not do one-to-one and will likely not work in many cases.

It may be that the STUN option on the mobile is getting around the issue and you could always copy the config from a working model in the GS (just easier) and see how it reacts.

Sorry for the delay, I was busy with other project task.

now after making few configuration changes we are not getting RTP error but still there is no voice for external Extension number.

I tested with Cisco phone with NAT alive "YES" option.

if you are OK I can call you and discuss in detail. 3CX server has local IP as well and that is Nated to one public ip through that external extension and mobile apps are registering with server. mobile Apps are working fine with same public ip with STUN option enabled.

please need your help.
