Hi guys,

I use Skype and 3CX Webmeeting on my PC. Both work great. But when I use 3CX soft client on the same PC, I have noise and echoes. Tried to adjust the codecs but all failed.

Does anyone have some ideas on how to fix the problem?

Thanks.

May not be a Codec issue. Are you using a headset? Have you tried a different one? Tried lowering the Mic volume? Other Apps may set volume levels differently. If you hear echo, it usually means that the level you are sending, is too high.

@leejor, thanks for the suggestion. I don't want to use any headset. I tried Skype and 3CX Webmeeting without the headset either. The volume setting is default as Skype and 3CX webmeeting, but no luck with 3CX client.

So what are you using? Just the PC's built in Mic and Speakers?

yes, correct.

You should really be using a headset or handset. I don't believe that the application is optimized for use with just a computers mic, and speakers, as some others may be. Someone at 3CX would have to comment on voice quality, to be expected, when not using a headset.

It is the normal behavior of the soft client. It’s impossible to use without an headset. I don’t understand why 3CX doesn’t focus on the important things like this one or push notifications which are working unreliable under android. Plenty of new features which really I don’t care if the basics doesn’t work. The phone has to work without the headset like Skype does . The phone has to ring when the call is coming like the old telephone system. I am asking 3cx/nick galea to stay in focus on the important things.

The fact is...it's not Skype, it's a phone system, and the majority of users will probably not be using it as a "speaker-phone" especially in an open office environment. If they want a speaker-phone, for a conference room, or the likes, then they buy a proper speaker-phone. (most VoIP sets have it built-in)

I have not seen a lot of(any?) complaints, on the forum, about the inability to use the 3CX phone hands-free. If the demand was there, I'm sure that there would be a proper fix.

You can always make a feature suggestion in the Ideas forum and see the response from other users.

Did you ever try to use the softclient without the headset? Is it working for you? Just to understand if it is just a problem for us or not.

Softclient needs an audio device to work properly, it is the normal behavior.

I don't often use the 3CX Windows Phone, when I have, in the past, it has always been with a headset, usually a bluetooth unit.
