Nortel i2004 on asterisk 1.8

Hey guys...

I managed to register i2004 nortel phones on my elastix box. I found issues, and I cannot continue testing it. Can call other phones but you cannot hear anything on nortel phone, and as soon as I pickup the nortel phone it crashes the asterisk.

I read that there is still a bug on asterisk 1.8 unistim.conf.

Is there a way to fix this?

I might think that it is a codec issue.
What is the codec that your phones should use? What codec are you using?

Thanks! I am using g729. tried ulaw no luck. Some forum is saying to do patching...
