I want to understand how templates work with 3CX - I was always under the impression that all handsets use the default template (based on model), and would pull from this with each reprovision. But I have found after a factory reset of a phone, some settings were reapplying that are not within the default 3cx template. eg
multicast.listen_address.1.label = Page All - MULTICAST
multicast.listen_address.1.ip_address = 224.0.1.75:50001
If I go to Phones, select this handset and click the 3 dots, there is a Config screen that shows me what appears to be the config of the phone, which is showing these old entries. As above, these don't exist in the default template, and no other custom templates are in use for this phone. Any newly created extensions don't have these settings applied. So, it makes me think there is some pre v20 settings still being applied, but maybe there isn't a GUI for it? Is there a way to clear the cache of handset templates so they re-pull from the default, without having to recreate the extensions? Or can you offer any other solutions to fix/push new multicast settings?
