On premises Windows 3cx v20 update 3 stuck/failed

We been running and updated our windows box to v20 update 2 a few months back no issue, today we clicked to install update 3. All seemed to be installing, waited hours later services still not started only database service running. No email ever about failed install. Attempts to start services don't work,
re-install of 3cx using v20.2 or v20.3 install file with a backup file, goes through the motions but just gets stuck at the "binding instance to user" screen and services appear to have same starting issue as running the update 3 caused.

Any help...

Install restoring backup does not go pasted "Binding Instance to User"

Decided to clean install the OS and re-install and restore backup to resolve.

I just have the same problem. The install software of Ver 20.3 is blocked here.


Windows 11 PRO last update
Ver 18.31 is ok
So, I decided to re-install ver 18 and restore backup to resolve.





In ver 20, the lack of a moving time bar, as in version 18, indicating the time remaining for the completion of the installation block, does not allow anyone to monitor the situation in which the installation status is.
This makes all people to wait unnecessarily before realizing that the installation will not be successful!

Same problem here..

Server stopped the services after automatic v3 update and a reinstall with the most recent backup stopt at "binding instance to user"

Just tried reinstalling using an older version of the V20 installer (dated september) but that doesnt make a difference..

My problem was resolved after uninstalling 3CX and all C++ redistributables on the server
rebooting the server
and then reinstalling 3CX.
Restoring the backup finished as expected after that, the phones ringing again
