Hey Team,

I installed the OpenVPN, created all certs, and all was running fine till this last week. For some reason it's now not connecting.

Can someone advise a way to monitor what functions are taking place so I can see what is happening so as to maybe correct the problem it has.

Nothing has been changed, to my knowledge, on the server or the andriopper phone. I have checked the var/log/message file and have not seen any errors. Is there a log file for OpenVpn in another location that I am not aware of please advise. On the andriopper phone log file all I see is waiting, tthen a disconnect, then a reconect trying but no errors.

Any sugestions?

Thanks

Are you using the EasyVPN addon? If so seems like some phones(i.e. Yealink) doesnt support hash of 256 so you can try to edit the /usr/share/easy-rsa/2.0/*cnf files and change the lines of the md5 type to sha1, restart the server and try again.

The fix will come in the next update of the addon.

navaismo,

Thank you sir for your response. I figured out tonight what I had done. Dummy me had inadvertently turned on the firewall in my router when I should not have while making a change on a virtual server set up.

One of these days I think it best I just retire this old as* and just go fishing.

Thanks again,
