Hello,

I’m trying to restore a 3CX backup created on version 20.0.8.680 (Update 8), but the original server has failed and is no longer accessible.

I have already deployed a new server, however the currently available installer is v20.0.7, and 3CX does not allow restoring a backup created on a newer version.

Could someone please advise where I can obtain the 3CX v20 Update 8 (20.0.8.xxx) installer for Windows, or provide guidance on how to proceed in this scenario?

The one I download from the portal is file version 20.07.1080

The backup file is intact and the license key is available. I just need a compatible installer to complete the restore.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

You’ll need to install the alpha+beta updates in order to get there, then restore.

Note that 3CX Windows installer or ISO will always include the latest stable versions.
You need to update to the Alpha or BETA and then restore the backup file.

This version isnt for production use... But anyway, on linux just install from ISO und update the pbx from cli to the needed version. After that restore your backup.

Good morning, first of all thank you for your response.

Understood regarding the production status. In my case, I am trying to recover the system on a Windows-based installation, not Linux.

Is there any way you can point me to where I can download the Windows installer for 3CX v20 Update 8 (20.0.8.xxx), or advise if there is an alternative supported method to restore a v20.0.8.680 backup on Windows?

I appreciate your guidance.

This is actually a great idea — thank you very much for your help and for pointing me in the right direction.

I appreciate the clarification and guidance.

Best regards,
Carlos

Look above, that has already been answered, something like that doesn’t exist.

That has also already been answered.
You need to run the installed version of 3CX, update it and then restore the backup.

Thanks to everyone to guide me to the success of my problem, I learn a lot from you all
