Hi all, I have multiple clients reporting that when they call people, the called party is seeing the caller id of the end user instead of the caller id programmed within the SIP provider. We are using Flowroute and we have CNAM programmed within Flowroute. I’ve included pictures showing how we have our outbound parameters set (it’s default settings) and we set the caller id tab within the sip trunk. We also set the outbound caller id phone number at the user level too but still we have this issue.

So.. (and correct me if I'm wrong), what I'm hearing is that you expect your provider to display one (main) number, but instead, the DID number, assigned by you, to the extension(s) is sent to the called party,
If that is the case, then it may be that your provider is simply honoring the fact that you are sending a caller ID and is using that instead.
If you want all outgoing calls to show one number, you could put that into the outbound rule that is being used. That should override any other caller ID, set in the PBX , for that call.

If there are some extensions that want their DID number sent, then a second rule, that does not have caller ID set, could be used, either by default (for those extensions), or by using a different prefix.

You can use the 3CX Activity Log, to confirm what is being sent, and if you expect the provider to change that to something else, and they are not, then you would have to contact them to find out why.

The issue is the caller id name that is being broadcast. For example if extension 108 (Alan) calls an outside number, the called party will see Alan followed by the main phone number. We would like the caller id name to be the CNAM programmed within flowroute.

So Flowroute is sending the caller ID you want, just not attaching the correct name. I have a feeling that you will have to take this up with Flowroute to see why the name is not being substituted. They are obviously sending what you send to them. It may simply be an option that is not set up correctly (phone number not matching name, exactly), or is not correctly enabled.
