Hi,

I have added groups in 3CX, and for each group, I want to send out different CLIs instead of the main SIP trunk number.

I have created an outbound rule and selected one of the groups, specifying the CLI number I want to use. However, for some reason, it still sends out the main trunk's Caller ID

Firstly, you are not in the correct category. This does not concern "Live Chat"; it concerns your Trunk.
Who is your SIP Trunk provider, and is it a provider supported by 3CX?

Hi Guillaume,

Apologies for posting in the wrong category, my provider is vox and they are supported.

i will check the post. Thanks

Here are two possible causes for your issue:
  1. Your SIP provider is ignoring the provided caller ID information sent in the SIP invite by 3CX and is overwriting with their default Caller ID

  2. Your calls are not going out the outbound rule you think they are. Remember the first outbound rule that matches will be used, so the order your rules appear in the list is important.

@Matthew Orr

Thanks for your reply,

The SIP provider is not sending any CLI on their end, they are passing whatever i am sending from 3cx as long as the number is serviced by them.

So, there is nothing i can change from the Outbound Parameters on the SIP trunk to make outbound calls to use the CLI from the outbound rule?

I have already answered this question here:

Did you take the time to read it? I write step-by-step...
The answer is yes, please read the instructions in the other post.

Hi Guillaume,

I have followed these steps and nothing. My SIP provider is LCRcom and they say that 3CX is not sending anything and they are transparent this way they are sending out my default sip trunk number instead of one of my DDIs.

I'm setting up the "outboundcallerid" without results.
Could you tell me where/what could I do?

Thanks

Hello,

Please capture a PCAP file, then upload the file to your GDrive, OneDrive, or another cloud service. Send me the download link privately. I will review it.

Do not post it here, as it will display sensitive information such as your PBX IP address, phone number, SIP username, etc.
You wouldn’t want to publish this information publicly.

If your version has access to the 3CX Activity Log, you can confirm the caller ID being sent out.

Hi leejor, thanks for your comment but in the activity log I only see this:

Crossed out is my number... I can see that I'm using an Outbound rule and just this.
And I'm sending the Out Caller ID from this rule and nothing happens, and the DDI is correct.

@bihr

I have written to you in private. Could you send me privately what you expect them to send (in the example you sent me privately)?
