Is there any way through the Trunk SIP outbound settings to set the outbound Caller ID to the allocated DID of the extension ? I can set the outbound caller ID in the dedicated field within the extension settings but it would be easier if this was just defaulted to the DID that was allocated. If I don’t have something in the caller ID box in the extension it appears to pick up the default DID of the trunk so it is always the same.

Thanks

Jon

Unfortunately I am using linux version of 3CX so not sure their add ins could be applied.

I can complete the Caller ID section of every extension, just thought there may be a quick and easy way to default to their DID number which is the same thing.

Thanks

Jon

Hello @Jon Gair

You mean that when you assign DID to an extension through an Inbound rule you want the extension to use that as its outbound caller ID?
The only way i can think of to do this is be importing the extension if you know before hand the DID that will be assigned to the extension. Alternatively i would recommend posting you idea on https://www.3cx.com/community/forums/3cx-ideas/ . All posts are reviewed by their corresponding Departments and, if feasible and voted for by other users as well, may be implemented in an upcoming service pack or update.
