Hey guys I'm new in 3cx phone actually I haven't setup my own 3cx it was just endorse to me by the resiging I.T. and I'm the newly hired I.T. honestly I'm a fresh graduate and I have no clue about this system and how it works I have a problem the inbound calls are working fine but the outbound call are not working how can I know whats the problem and how to fix it. when I dial 9 to make an outside call the digital receptionist just says "contact administrator" and the sad part is that I am the administrator so I'm hoping someone with a kind heart could help me fix this.

It says no available PSTN lines
Are you PDTN only (copper or IsDN into. Gateway) or VoIP as well?
If the former - how many lines of service?

And why dial 9 only? Is that what th Outbound rule refers to? Dial 9 and one digit length only send to PSTN? Normally you would dial 9 and the rest of the number and the outbound rules would handle what to do.

I’m not very experienced with v12 - several generations old. I’d look at the outbound rules.
Hook up an Analog phone and ensure the line is working.

so I'll tap the phone directly into the phone line or junction box is that right sir and test it sir :)?

That’s a good start. Then look at outbound rule user guide available here.

thank you sir it's noted sir gonna test it first now then I'll be reply again if what had happen :)

If you are going to use 9 as a prefix, then strip it before sending out the remaining digits, you might want to specify the number length (including the 9), in calls to numbers with a length of field.

From the error message, I also suspect that the gateway may not be detecting battery, on the phone lines. Is the gateway plugged into standard PSTN lines, or a PBX? If it is a PBX, then check the voltage across tip and ring, if only 24 volts, then settings on the gateway will probably have to be changed to accommodate the lower voltage.

Hello @MartyMcfloat

I would recommend upgrading the PBX to the latest version as v12 is very old and no longer supported. I think you will find that the latest version of the PBX is much easier to configure and to troubleshoot. Also it is always recommended using a supported gateway. You can find a list of supported gateways here: https://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/
