hi,

I'm new to 3cx and I like this software, very easy to use and powerful.

I set everything I want except outbound rule that I would like to fine tune.

now, I have to dial 1-111-111-1111.

I'm in the area code 514.

First, to do an outbound call, I have to dial 1 and then the area code, then the number. Is there a way to get rid of the 1 at the beginning? So I only dial area code (3 digits) + number (7 digits)

Second, is there a way that when I dial only 7 digits that the 3cx will automatically add the 514 at the beginning? And if I dial a 10 digit (meaning that the area code is not 514) it will work too?

Hi,
Yes you can
send your IP phones and gateways details and I'll post you hot to do it

witch details you need ?

I have a linksys pap2t to connect my analog phone to the pbx server
a soooo power full 3cx pbx server (p-II 450)
and my voip provider configured in 3cx

How many voip lines do you have?

this is the original pap2t dial plan
(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

you have to make special numbers to call through voip
not started with the same extensions started
I'll can help you as much information you send and the needs you explained

thanks,

only one line
I did not change the dial plan in the pap2t....

its for home....basic setup.

only one extention (201), one phone number, one analog phone.

basic setup... I set the extention in the pap2t to connect to 3cx.
set extention in 3cx, phone registered...
add my voip line (unlimitel.ca), the line registered...
woohoo I can make a call !!!!

then I played with the receptionist....

ok so now that I know it has something to do with dial plan I read about it on the internet

here is what I think I should use

(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|<:1514>[2-9]xxxxxxS0|<:1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

_________________________________
(*xx|[3469]11|0|00 no idea what is this for... its there by default... so i will leave it there

<:1514>[2-9]xxxxxxS0 add prefix 1514 to number with 7 digit begening with 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 or 9 then Straight Out

<:1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxxS0 add prefix 1 to number with 10 digit begening with 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 or 9 then Straight Out

xxxxxxxxxxxx.) there by default....

an I right ?
