The field to assign the rule to one or more extensions is greiyed out, see attachment.
Some guys un the german forum wrote this is a limitation of the free hosted version, i cannot believe this ist true. I did not find any documentation of this limitation. You can have have 6 SIP Truns in free version, but can only use one for outgoing calls. I don't understand ist.
I have a very small configuration with only MSNs (only one Number for each SIP Trunk) für 3 Users, but i cannot assign the outgoing numbers for thes 3 Users.
Is there an solution ?

best regards

Jörg

Hi there.
Indeed, for the 3CX Free/SMB, this is a limitation and there is no workaround.

Hi Oleg.

Is this likely to change in any upcoming updates?

I have a client I'm setting up on SMB (paid) that has 2 SIP trunks, one for their office and one for their home.

I was hoping to configure outbound rules for the home extension to only use that SIP trunk, but I've just discovered this limitation.

If it is likely to change soon, I will stick to this config, but if it is a definite "no go" then I guess I will need to set the home number up on a seperate Free instance.

I understand that SMB is actually just a department on a shared profile, but I didn't think that this would effect outbound rules.

Hopefully you have some good news .

Cheers,
Ray

This limitation is just on the free version. If you have the pro (paid) version, this is no problem.

On the paid version of SMB?
Its greyed out for me.

Could it be because they are currently on a trail licence?

The trial licence should be a pro... Check this in the account of this installation.

Hi everybody. Same problem here. We have 3CX SMB PRO 20, The field to assign the rule to one or more extensions is greyed out, as in first post. We didn't find any limit of this kind in comparison chart (https://www.3cx.com/ordering/pricing/features/) when we buy the solution and i think is an important limit for our needs. How can be sure if there some bug during v20 update or other ? Thanks

Unfortunately, this isn't the case. I opened a ticket and this was the response I recieved:

"Please be advised that this is an expected behavior for the SMB no matter the license version.
The 'Calls from extension(s)' field is disabled by default and if you want to go out of different trunks you will have to use prefixes."

So back to my "Plan B" above .

Strange thing... I dont use SMB. But this doesnt make any sence from 3cx. if you want to use more than one trunk.

Yeah, I haven't used SMB before but thought it was appropriate for this client. Just had no idea this was going to be a stumbling block.
Anyway I know now, so I will propose Pro or Ent in the future and will fire up a seperate Free instnace for this client's "home" location, since I'd already quoted for a complete solution and can't go back to say it's gunna cost a lot more.
