I have a ring group set up to page all the phones in the building. The staff uses it to make announcements. It works great, except after every page each phone has its missed call icon appear as it is considering them not picking up the phone to answer the page a missed call. Is there any way to make this not happen? This is on Yealink SIP-T54W phones. Thanks.

I haven't used that model yet but in the extension under Phone Provisioning on other Yealink models we've set "Choose how to configure Power LED notifications" to "voicemails only" to not show on missed calls.

Thanks, it does have that option fortunately, and we have that turned on so the Power LED doesn't display at least. But there still is an icon that displays at the top of the color LCD screen which indicates that you've had a missed call, and if you see this you think you actually missed a call and look through the list of missed calls when in fact it was just generated by the page.

Where is the server related in relation to the phones?

Same internal LAN, same subnet.

Why not use Multicast Paging? I would expect that will not result in Missed Call - as it's not a call at all on the receiving end.

OK, interesting, I didn't know that multicast paging wouldn't result in a missed call, I'll have to try that, thanks.

Set up a Ring Group - use Multicast Paging. I always do even ports. Some devices can not do ODD Ports.
On the phone setups - select Multicast Listener and reprovision.

(Some phones may not need it if they hare in warehouse with bullhorn paging or bullpen type area with overhead speakers)
