We have an 0300 SIP trunk number that terminates on a 3CX and according to the time of day it routes back out to various destinations.
Currently the final destinations get the outgoing CLI from the 3CX but ideally we would like the originating caller ID to be shown, is this possible?

What are you routing to ? extension, ring group, queue ?

There is a related setting for groups and queues under "Contacts" and "Settings" for amending the caller-id to these.

I would also ensure from your VoIP Provider that they are sending the call-id to you and this is not an added service (like you get with ISDN). A Wireshark trace would help confirm this also.

You will also need to confirm that your provider supports this and you are able to use the originator caller ID as an outbound caller ID. If the provider does support that then you need to ask them which SIP field the Originator Caller ID should be sent to. You will then need to adjust your outbound parameters to match the providers requirements.

The number routes to an extension that uses specific hours. The SIP provider definitely sends in the caller ID as we can see it presenting in the logs.

Thank you, will check with the SIP provider.
