Password not matching

So when I am trying to test a users permissions I normally open a new in private browser page to log in as that user. I go to Phones and hit the eyeball iron to show passwords. I thought that all the passwords can be viewed there "Authentication Information that list User ID, Password, Phone Password and PIN". When I tried this user password it says wrong password. I am able to get around this by just resending another "Email Welcome Letter". My question is, shouldn't the password in the Welcome Letter also match the password under Authentication Information? If so how do I correct this mismatch.

If you are logging into the web client then it won't use the same password as app authentication under Phones tab.
The web client password is listed under the General tab of the extension under Web Authentication.
The welcome letter indeed also lists the web client password.
