password restrictions on extensions

Is it possible to have password codes to make calls??

This question was made from a client that wants this system.

He ask if i can make a report and see who is calling from what password code.

Yes and no. No being it's not officially setup that way. You can create outbound rules with password built in 9 to dial out, change it to 9123. 123 is your password. You can assign this to particular extensions or for everyone. Remember to change your transform mask to take out the extra digits - in this example rrrr.

Set multiple rules with different passwords. Change the password as you need and just let those particular users know.

Just make sure you have an outbound rule for emergency calls so anyone on any phone can call the police or fire dept.
