Patton SN4141 - 8port - Outbound rules

Hello,

I've configured a new 3cx install with SN4141/8JO8V. Reading through the 3cx docs I've got everything working, but I haven't found a solution to routing outbound calls from certain extensions to certain ports on the Patton. I've found old posts on splitting the PTSN gateway up for different models but they don't seem to apply here. Can anyone point me in the right direction? SN4141 on release version: 3.16.4-20042

3CX sees the entire gateway as a SIP trunk. You will need to do this internally within the Patton itself.
You will not be able to do this from 3CX.

If I could not find an example of a configuration, for breaking the device into multiple trunks (have you tried contacting Patton?). I would have 3CX configure it for 2 trunks, review the configuration file, then modify it to add the additional trunks. Of course, this means having an understanding of how this should work, which is not going to be something everyone is comfortable with, or has the time and patience.

This model may be similar enough, that you could use a configuration file, from another model, that has been broken into multiple trunks, to get an idea, of what changes you need to make.

From the response above, it doesn't look like 3cx will do that.

You can't provision it for 2 FXO ports? This seems to indicate that you can.

It's provisioned for 8 ports and I can route incoming calls by port, but there's only 1 PTSN gateway so there's no choosing certain ports for outbound rules. You can only choose the PTSN gateway and it somehow chooses the outbound port to use.

You would have to create multiple trunks in 3CX, All would use the same IP of the Patton device, the difference would be the port used.The first , 5060, the second 5061, third 5062, etc.
The gateway would have to be configured in kind (multiple trunks).

Not having used that Patton, I don't even know if there is a GUI, to allow you to log in and configure, or if a configuration file will have to be "crafted", or an existing one modified..

This was raised several times as previously mentioned so I wrote a guide which specifically covers Trinity operating systems - Please see attached.

It will involve some manual template writing for the Patton so ensure you are familiar with doing this.

Yes but the configuration wizard in some cases can be quite generic and requires extra amendments.

How is this on different than the one I posted other than being for a different smart node? It was written by the same Patton employee.

This one I posted is titled "Make your single Patton FXO SmartNode look like 1-4 gateways within 3CX"
you need a login to the Patton website to access this. Although not specified directly it looks to be for Trinity based models, not the older Smartware variants.

This one may be the result of a ticket I opened with Patton.
It had some initial issues that I reported
At last try, It still did not seem to work and I have not received a recent response.

Has anyone got the 8 port Wizard working or a working config from this wizard?

I do mine manually after generating a config file from 3CX (see above guide) the attached is an output for a 4 port variant but it should be very easy to add the additional ports.

Note: the attached is for an on premise system Trinity gateway connecting locally with a UK tone-set. The file extension (txt) has been altered so I can post it on here (normally it should be gwcfg).

If you have your config file PM it over and I can take a look.
