We are planning on installing a PRI with at least 12 channels and several DID's. I saw on the Patton website that they have the SN4960 and SN4961 which I belive I could use. On the 3CX website they recommend only the SN4960. The questions is can I use the SN4961 and does 3CX recommends it??

Also are there any items that I should take into consideration when installing these cards (I have only experience with analog gateways)?

Thanks

Hello,

I installed SN4554 release R5.2 and SN4118JS (FXS) gateways release R4.2. The SN4554 R5.1 is recommended by 3CX but the R5.2 works well (anyway, it's not very difficult to upgrade or downgrade the releases which are available on Patton's site). But I couldn't make work the SN4118 with R5.2 realease. I had to downgrade it to R4.2. The reason is some commands changed, and I not an expert in Patton gateways. So I prefered to spare my time and keep R4.2 which works fine.
The 3CX software will create a configuration file (for recommended gateways. You will just have to set in your own parameters (ip adresses, mask...). So, if you're not an expert in Patton, I suggest you to choose recommended gateways (http://wiki.3cx.com/Home/tested-devices--interoperability-notes; http://wiki.3cx.com/Home/supported-gateways). But if you feel at ease to configure these gateways, I'm sure it will work. Patton is professionnal quality material. At least, make sure what are their differences.

Hope this can help.
