I set up some phones to be Hot Desk phones, which is not necessary for my office environment, but I wanted the practice... Everything set up well, except...

I want a persistent and reasonable login button for multiple users. I set up some BLFs on the phone web site and quickly found that they are cleared when I log a user off. The only programmable keys I have available (marked as N/A) don't make sense to use... Cancel, HOLD, MUTE, TRAN, Redial, Message.

I will keep looking around, but if one can point me in the correct direction, I'd be most appreciative!

To use hotdesking you have to use 3cx standard templates for the phones.

This stops you changing the keys on the phone directly ,as they will be overwritten by the provisioning of the phone due to the hotdesk function

All blf keys have to be programmed via 3cx management console

Note : hotdesking does not support custom templates

Saqqara, thank you for the response. I didn't explicitly modify the existing Yealink SIP-T48 template... nothing even close to what is listed here: https://www.3cx.com/docs/custom-ip-phone-templates/ . Unless adding BLFs to a user extension modifies the template, I think I am good.

It would be nice if the HD0000x Hot Desk profile had it's own set on BLF assignments to reload when someone logs off.
