Afternoon,

We have a site that has 100 yellink phones connecting to the 3CX server through an SBC, this works fine.

The phones do not have internet access but we want them to have access to the 3CX phonebook. is there a way the SBC can proxy\deliver the phone book to the handsets?

Hello,

This is not possible, the phones require access to the PBX both for provisioning and phonebook.

You could consider opening it up periodically and get them to update their phonebook, then close the access again.

If you control the firewall and guessing you do, it would be possible to create a Policy/ Firewall Rule in most cases to allow only specific traffic from those devices to the 3CX PBX only. Only allow access to that WAN address, and ports required. So no "general" internet access but just targeted. We do things like that all of the time.

@codestone FYI most phones also need internet access for NTP
