I have 5 different schools attached to one Hosted system. I need to segregate the call pick up so only users in certain groups can pick up calls when dialling *20*.

For instance I only want members of group 901 to pick up calls from other members of 901.

I also want to restrict some phones from picking up calls when dialling *20*. I set up a user group without ticking the Perform operations (divert, transfer, pickup) expecting that this will stop the member of the group from picking up calls from other users not in the group, however it doesn’t work.

Could you explain how I can achieve both options?

You're on the correct track. Make sure that the phones are not in another group that has that right enabled. Check the default group.

Hi @jbardon in order to limit the pick up calls on groups, you have to enable the parameter Limit Call Pickup to calls received in their extension group. This is available from the pbx management console ---- settings --- general.

Also please note that when that parameter is enabled, the users in order to pick up the calls will need these rights in the group:

For those you don't want that they pick up the calls, then disable the field Perform operations (divert, transfer, pickup) on these users.

Thank you for your help.

that all looks good.
