When placing a call in shared parking, I cannot pick up the call from another phone using the *1 dial code. For example, a call comes in and user 1 places it on SP1. User 2 dials *11 to pickup the call and gets Not Found and hangs up. Looking at the activity logs I get the following message.

Call to t parkOrb:*1@[Dev:sip:*[email protected]:5483;rinstance=6b711ac2609cac72] from L:92.1[Extn:1001] failed, cause: Cause: 404 Not Found/INVITE from 127.0.0.1:5483

We are using a Hosted PBX v18 Enterprise

Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi, What you are referring to are two different functions. One is Shared parking via BLF keys the other is Parking orbit. These options can not be used together.

Please see this guide: https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/call-parking/

Thank you for the clarification. Is there a way to pickup SP1 from a Fanvil x3u or the cell phone app with no BLF?

You can park the call using parking orbit. To begin with, for example, Press transfer > then dial *00 to park that call to parking orbit 0. Then, on the 3CX app on the mobile, dial *10 to pick up the parked call from parking orbit 0.

You may also configure a custom speed dial BLF key, on the X3u, for the parking orbit parking space required.

From the mobile app you can actually dial SP1 in capital letters. Just have to be told which slot to use.

The common workaround is to make a dummy extension that forwards to the SPxx you want, then you can dial the extension to park or pickup calls.

You lose status monitoring, but it becomes available on DECT, etc.

Thanks for all of the advice. We're going to add this to our end user training.

Would you mind explaining how this can be done? I'd like to implement it on our system.

Many thanks
Create an extension.
Configure this (for all options in the available status):

Now when you call that extension, it parks/unparks the call.
