Polycom VVX450 with Sennheiser DW Office Convertible Wireless Headset

I have a Polycom VVX450 with a Sennheiser DW Office Convertible Wireless Headset. I have the settings set up for the Sennheiser EHS. However, when the user answers the call. The handset lifts but the audio does not go to the wireless headset until the user hits the headset button. Does anyone know why the EHS does not activate the headset button automatically? It was working fine with 8x8 before we switch to 3CX. I have tried all different settings in the menu for the headset and non of them worked.

Hi @iritpeter I’ll tell you two things about this integration:

1) 3CX does not test headsets on IP Phones, if you plan to use a headset with your IP phone you will need to check it with each phone and headset manufacturer.

2) The Polycom vvx450 are third party supported phones with limitations and can only be used a mentioned here.

Well I know the headset works with the phone when the phone was provisioned with 8x8. It's only after we provisioned the phone to 3CX that it stopped working. So i'm sure i'm missing a setting or something.

Yes, IP Phones templates are not intended to be used with headsets that’s why it was mentioned to contact the phone vendor
