I recently migrated my 3CX system to a new Lightsail instance running v20. The previous instance was working perfectly, but after moving to the new server and assigning a static public IP, my SIP trunk is no longer working as expected.

✅ Environment

  • 3CX v20
  • Hosted on AWS Lightsail
  • New instance with static public IP

What works

  • SSH access works normally
  • Admin Console accessible via
    https://PUBLIC_IP:5001
  • Web client loads correctly
  • Extensions are registered

What doesn’t work

  • Incoming calls only ring continuously
  • No IVR / waiting music
  • Call does not proceed to Digital Receptionist
  • Event log shows SIP activity but no proper routing

Lightsail IPv4 Firewall:
  • TCP 443 (HTTPS)
  • TCP 5001 (3CX Admin)
  • TCP 5060–5062 (SIP)
  • TCP 5090
  • UDP 5060
  • UDP 5090
  • UDP 9000–10999 (RTP)

Please check with the SIP provider directly, as they should be able to say what they do not like about the registration attempt.

Yes I have but even they don't know what's going on. they even check known working SIP trunk from another V20 on mine but still it didn't work

Check outbound rules, and ask them if they need the call to be in full E.164 format (+country_code).
