Hi everyone,

I am new at 3CX. I decided to try the cloud service but I am not able to configure the server, so I can make a test call.
Please, can you provide with any link or a step by step guide?

Thank you!

Hello @fabi

Do you have your own cloud account or you mean the 1 year offer of 3cx hosted PBX?

1 year offer of 3cx hosted PBX

Did you get a welcome email?

Assuming that you've installed the PBX using PBX Express and already have access, a good starting point would be the admin manual here https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/
Since installation is done, you can start from section 2
First thing you'll want to do is create some extensions and provision them.
If you are trying to setup something specific, let me know if you have any issues or any clarification is needed.

Thank you very much for your support!

I have created an extension and I have logged in at the webclient with the extension number and password. When I try to make a phone call it says phone not connected.

The 3cx webclient is not a stand alone sip phone. 3cx webclient is used to control an ip phone or a 3cx client. You will need to install for example the 3cx windows client and provision it with the same extension that you are logging in the webclient. Then you'll be able to make calls either from the windows client or the webclient.
After installing the windows client, just open the config file attached in the welcome email and the client will be provisioned.

Note though that to make an internal call, you'll need at least 2 extensions provisioned. In order to make an outbound call, you will need to setup a SIP trunk first. More info for sip trunks can be found here https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/sip-trunks/

Thank you very much for your help!

I also have a web client, it is still necessary to download the desktop client for windows?
