Hi All,
First post as a new user of 3CX!
I have just configured 4 sites to use 3CX, however, I have come across 1 common problem!
All sites are within the Department of Education and Training Victoria, AUSTRALIA.

As these sites have NO physical internet connection (a part of a WAN Network).
I require 3CX to connect through a HTTP Proxy Server (eduProxy).
I'm running 3CX on Windows Server 2016 Standard Edition (also running the latest stable copy of 3CX).

Can anyone provide any information in regards to getting this working?

Thanks in anticipation!

Hi James,

I have had a similar request in the past for a few sites in the financial sector who's phone system network is not internet facing.

The short answer is no, 3CX does not support proxy'ing in this way, it needs a direct internet connection to function. The PBX needs to be able to contact the remote licencing server.

On speaking to 3CX about this however they did indicate that if enough recourse was put into this then the could/would support but it never came to anything. What I would do is raise this with your regional account manager with 3CX and see if they would be willing to revisit the possibility:https://www.3cx.com/company/contact/

I spoke to the UK office (as that is where I am based) and they knew exactly the functionality that was being requested.
