'm trying to provision a Snom PA1 with STUN. I've updated the firmware to 8.7.5.75 but now the provisioning URL in at adv>update>settings is grayed out.

I spoke with SNOM support and their response is the following:

Peter,

You need to contact 3CX and ask them to remove the MAC address from our RDS with their account.

Regards,
I have tried contacting 3CX but there doesn't appear to be a phone number and the contact form doesn't work.

How do we contact them?

Not sure if you can wait, but RPS will drop off in 14 days... I think you mean RPS.
Stun is not a good idea to try on unsupported devices.

Hello @Peter Davies

Please note that RPS entries are automatically deleted after 14 days if a new RPS request is not sent by the PBX. In the meantime you can manually import the config file generated by the PBX to provision the device.

To do so:

Navigate to your extension settings / Phone provisioning tab and copy the provisioning link into a browser. The provisioning link should be something like https://<FQDN>:5001/provisioning/xxxxxxxxxxxx/cfg{mac}

The add the MAC address of the phone to the link in place of the {mac} so the end result should be
https://<FQDN>:5001/provisioning/xxxxxxxxxxxx/cfg<MAC_Address>

If you navigate to that address you should get the phones config file. Change the files extension to .cfg The end result should be a file called cfg<MAC_Address>.cfg

Open the web interface of the phone and navigate to advanced / Update and use the "Upload Setting File manually:" option to upload the file to the device. Reboot the device to apply the settings and your device should provision and register to the PBX.

Make sure that the option "Disallow use of extension outside the LAN (Remote extensions using Direct SIP or STUN will be blocked)" is not checked under extension settings / Options.

Let me know if you face any issues.

STUN is supported for these devices they just lack the user interface to be able to use RPS provisioning.
