Hi,

Need some advice please.

I need to save incoming calls but not outgoing calls - due to 2 party consent rule/laws in the USA in certain states. Is there a way to only save incoming calls in 3CX? Preferably to specify call recording type by trunk - as we operate several different geographic offices from the same 3CX system. USA is the problem office/trunk.

I see when calls are saved, there is not distinction in the filenames either - so I cant even look at auto deleting the outgoing calls for all USA calls..

Thanks

I am assuming we are talking about saving recordings of inbound external phone calls. As far as I know, It is not possible to do this without a 3rd-party solution. You may want to take a look at our 3CX Recording Manager tool. We provide the ability to only record inbound external phone calls. But we don't currently make a distinction based on what trunk the call came in on.

But your concern is about consent to record. We may help you get that consent using our 3CX Recording Beep tool. This tool can play a gentle "beep" every 15 seconds (configurable) during phone calls to remind everyone that the call is being recorded.

You could build a tool that utilises the data connectors to get call type and recording path to clear out those you do not need swiftly.

How would we go about building a tool that utilises the data connectors to delete the recordings? Is the dev toolkit for this?

XAPI can also do this. Might be easier too.
