Query on Hotel Services in 3CX

Hi,

We have a requirement whereby a 3CX instance will need to be connected to more than 1 hotel. Each hotel has its own PMS system.

Can a 3CX instance has multiple connections to PMS systems ?

I'm not certain how you'd designate each extension, as belonging to one hotel or the other. It is difficult enough for those that wish to share a PBX between two different businesses, with minimal "crossover", as the system is not really designed for that. I suspect you will have to "bite the bullet" and spring for a system, at each location.

3CX will be able to give a definitive answer.

No, it cannot. You will need 2 instances but they can be bridged. You need to be local to the PMS system anyway so you'll have to go on-prem or VPN (not sure if PMS work over VPN tho.)

We are currently working on a similar installation with 4 locations, 3 PBXs.

i understand there are some limitation for 3CX bridge. for example, not able to call from one extension in one 3CX instance to another extension in another 3CX instance. Are you able to share if you are able to do intercom call among the 3 x 3CXs ?

You can certainly call between instances. But intercom isn't supported no. What you would do is setup a paging group on the second 3CX and call that using the prefix/ext range via the primary 3CX.

But for paging, it is just one way communication. am i right ?
