Hy,
Since Upgrade to V18 last week we are facing issues with 3CX Webmeeting. We use QuickMeeting/Click2Meet most of the times.
Users report the problem that they get the error "Meeting Has Not Started Yet. Please Try Again Later" although the host of the meeting told me he is in the meeting and other users are connected?!
The users are using Iphones the host uses the webclient on a windows 10 laptop.
The issue happened last Thursday 27.8. and yesterday 3.9. in the morning.

  • 3CX Version: Enterprise Annual 18.0.1880
  • Server OS Debian 10
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? on prem
  • IP Phone none
  • Provisioning Method: na
  • Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Model : multiple
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: na
The firewall check passes.
The users report that they can join another scheduled meeting (which has option "Meeting starts once organizer joins" disabled)
So I don't think its a network/firewall issue.

I can share the meeting links and also have the verbose webmeeting logs

Is there any chance the users are trying to connect to previously made webmeetings and therefore using old links?

Since you mention this, do you mean that you can reproduce the issue at will?

Hy,
I can not say that I am 100% sure it was done correctly by all users - new meeting link with fqdn/meet instead of fqdn.3cx.net

Today was a scheduled meeting, the user joined by OLD link. And there was no problem?!

I cannot reproduce it, but I saved the logs from yesterday.

Every Scheduled meeting should have it's own link, meaning an old link should not work as that would mean that you're actually using another meeting's link. How are the users using webmeeting exactly? Are they creating new scheduled conferences for every meeting or are there cases where they simply connect to a same scheduled webmeeting on multiple occasions?

I would recommend finding out how exactly they are setting the conferences up and making sure that this is not just a case of user error.

I have seen an invite from a user that send out the personal meeting link instead of the public one

any chance to get BOTH links in here?

To first clarify:

• When you say the personal meeting link, are you talking about the organizer's(or specific's extension) link instead of the link sent to participants?

• Was this a Quick meeting or a scheduled meeting?

• Did the organizer invite the additional participants upon meeting creation or after he/she had joined the meeting?

Sorry
I mixed things up.

This was a SCHEDULED meeting. The wrong link was sent out by the user (personal instead of public link)
We usually send out the public link instead of invite each user seperatly.

Is it possible to have the public link it the overview?

at current this is not possible but I will keep it in mind
