What exactly does this mean?

- Authentication in Queues, Ringgroups and all system extensions

Re: RC2 - Authentication in Queues, Ringgroups??

It means that you cannot register an extension as a Ring Group or Queue anymore.

This means that a Queue cannot be Hijacked.

Re: RC2 - Authentication in Queues, Ringgroups??

Thanks for the explanation. I was thinking it added passwords or something, but its all under the hood.

Re: RC2 - Authentication in Queues, Ringgroups??

Yes - these are included in RC2 and up. RC1 has security issues so make sure that RC1 is uninstalled and RC2 is installed.
Basically we secured the Phone system from various areas. System extensions are secured, Queue manager has an increased layer of security together with ring groups, conference places and parking orbits.
We added sense to routing loops, loop detection improvements and of course the anti hacking page.
We can def consider this issue closed

It is nice to see that security is an important topic in V9. We register more and more attacks against SIP-Servers. We have ever install 3cx servers for our costumers using secure auth id´s and passwords. but many users who install the server its own doesn't care about this or they don't know anything about the risc.
