Receive Faxes is a Pro feature?

Hi,
Getting my head around the changes with v20 and moving to 3CX Hosted here in Australia.
Looking to move my customers from v18 hosted on Lightsail to v20 on 3CX Hosted.

Under the Pricing and Feature list online for 3CX it has Integrated Fax Server as a 3CX Pro feature.

Does that mean that you cannot receive Faxes and have them sent as a PDF to an email address on 3CX Free/3CX SMB/3CX SMB Pro ?

Hi there.
That is correct and not FAX service at the current time for 3CX Free/SMB and for that you could to use 3CX hosting and PRO license key.

Hi Malcolm. I recently had a similar requirement here in AUS. I use BreezeConnect, but other SIP providers should be similar.
They provide a fax-to-email option at the trunk side (no need to go through 3CX).
My client wanted POTS connection, in & out, for an old fax machine though, so I simply got a Cisco ATA and registered it directly on a separate SIP trunk, again, bypassing 3CX. A hybrid of both for inbound & outbound should work too.
Some firms just don't want to give up their old paper-based faxes.
