Is there a way to have 3cx deliver text messages even when someone puts their phone in to DND or Away? The problem is the messages aren't delivered when they set their status to available, so that member of the group has no clue a message was sent.

Regarding your question, please note that the extension statutes do not affect chat messages even if an extension is on DND, the 3cx extension that sends them a chat, even though they will see that the extension is on DND, if in the same extension group etc..the message will still be sent/delivered. Here though, you have said, "The problem is the messages aren't delivered when they set their status to available" and "so that member of the group has no clue a message was sent" can you clarify this?

SMS/MMS Messages are NOT delivered when they set their status for DND or away. It was a typo.

We don't use the actual chat feature.

To be clear here, direct SMS messages to an extension will go through even on DND, but messages going to a queue will not notify users on DND, since they are usually logged out of the queue, but they should still receive them.

Then how do I deliver to a group and they receive them regardless of status?

Right, even when they set they're status back to active, it doesn't come through. That's really the problem.
