Hi.
Receiving Whatsapp messages with the3cx works, but the replies do not reach the customer.

What could be the reason for this?

Regards Tim

Hi Tim,

I found setting up the Watsapp integration required a lot of steps and the documentation was sometimes a little confusing and not always clear. So, I hosted a webinar where we walked through the setup from start to finish. Maybe it will help you identify a step you missed or misconfigured.

You can view the recorded webinar here. And while you are there, you might want to look around at the other videos on our channel. We have a ton of add-on tools that, like the Whatsapp integration, extend 3CX which is an already awesome platform. And we make 3CX even better!

Hi thanks for that, i can´t find any differences, its still not working.

Hi Kiste,

The webinar from Voiptools does have good instructions.
It helped me as I also got from tips from reading this forum.

Did you check if the chat function is enabled?

Hi Louis,
yes the webinar is good, however I can still only receive messages but not send them.
Which chat function do you mean?

Sending message is bound to rules by Whatsapp/Facebook.
In the case of 3CX it should work when a customer is sending a message and you reply to it witing 24 or 48 hours.
After that, messages will not reach the customer.

Since you receive messages my solution to "Allow chat" will probably be enabled.
You can check the flag at "Settings > Options > Allow Chat"

Receiving message is done by whatsapp through the webhook URL.
Sending message is done by 3CX with the Access Token. This is not the token you find at the "Getting Started" page. That's where I made a mistake.

Send works via the Facebook Test API but not via the 3cx.

This is the error message delivered to the 3cx from meta.

I advice you to watch the VoipTools video again and check it step-by-step.
Did you create a system user:

Without a system user i doesn´t get a token for the whatsapp sip trunk configured in 3cx.
I check the settings serveral times, i am still waiting for support by meta.
